Our Hiring Process

Stage 1

Review of Application

Your online application has been received and the hiring panel will review your anonymised application (this has been done automatically by the applicant tracking system) in due course.
We will always let you know if you are being moved to the next stage of the process, or if unfortunately we are not taking your application further at this time.  Due to the very high number of applications received, we are unable to provide individual feedback at application stage, if you have not been successful.
Stage 2

Panel Interview via Teams

If the hiring panel believe your application evidences the correct skills and experience for the role, we'll invite you for an interview.
Most interviews are held online.

We always provide a minimum of 7 days notice of interviews, as most roles will ask candidates to conduct a short presentation or task and respond to questions regarding their experience in a STAR format.

The recruitment process for most roles, will only involve 1 interview.

After the interview, within a few days, all candidates will be advised of the outcome and offered individual feedback.
Stage 3

Written Offer of Employment

Once all candidates have completed the interview process, the successful candidate will be advised and made a written offer of employment.

If the offer is accepted, SFC will provide a contract of employment, confirm your start date and take you through the new employee hire process.  We will also ask for evidence of the right to work in the UK and take up references.
